Sinopsis: All three books in the New York Times bestselling Kanin Chronicles trilogy by Amanda Hocking are together for the first time in one spectacular volume!
Bryn Aven doesn't fit into Kanin society. Her blond hair and blue eyes mark her as a half-blood, unable to hold a respectable rank. But Bryn is determined to prove herself as a loyal protector of the kingdom she loves, and nothing will stand in her way. Not even her growing attraction to her boss, Ridley Dresden...even though a relationship between them is strictly forbidden.
After a brutal enemy attacks the Kanin, Bryn finds herself on a quest to save her people. But is Bryn willing to risk everything to protect a kingdom that doesn't accept her for who she really is? And as the mission brings her closer to Ridley, can Bryn deny her heart any longer?
One thing is clear: they're about to unravel a long-hidden secret about the Kanin kingdom, and it will change Bryn's place in it forever.

Opinión de Sara: The Kanin Chronicles is a Fantasy trilogy for young adults written by Amanda Hocking. The three books, Frostfire, Ice kissed and Crystal Kingdom, take place in the same universe as her best-seller Trylle, but some aspects of The Kanin Chronicles are a bit weird.

The Kanin Chronicles tells the story of Bryn, a tracker who has never fit in the Kanin society. Her dream is to become a member of the elite guard but her feelings for her boss, Ridley, complicate things.
One day, there is an attack on the kingdom and throughout the three books, Bryn discovers a conspiracy and her world crumbles.
The characters are gorgeous and well-built trolls — yes, trolls — with incredible powers and as beautiful as the vampires from Twilight. Readers might think that Amanda Hocking could be Stephanie Meyer’s long lost cousin. Both authors write about beautiful supernatural creatures with powers that live hidden from humans, but in The Kanin Chronicles there are only trolls.
Another weird detail is the base of this world. Trolls switch their babies with humans’ babies but only with rich families.
When a troll becomes an adult, trackers find them and they return them to their homes with the money.
Some confusing details.
Typical topics are extremely common in that type of the novels, predictable and characters are usually dull. On the other hand, there is not a love triangle and that is a relief.
The trilogy promises a lot but gives us nothing.

The trilogy is promising at the beginning, but there are confusing details that make the some parts of the story difficult to follow for the reader. I was happy there wasn’t the typical love triangle that we usually find in these stories. Unfortunately, the characters and the story lines are a bit dull and predictable and not any different than you might find in these kinds of novels.

-----------------------------------
